A total of four people lost their lives on Spanish roads this weekend, in the provisional count between 15:00 on Friday and 20:00 on Sunday, 19 April, 2015.

There were four fatal crashes during the course of the weekend, in which two other people were also injured.

On Sunday, a motorcyclist in his sixties was killed when his motorbike was in collision with a car in Catral. An emergency ambulance attended but could do nothing to save the life of the man, a resident of Barrio San José in Callosa de Segura.

Four young males had a lucky escape on Sunday morning when the car they were driving in left the road and landed in the sea, becoming fully submerged wedged between two rock faces. The incident occurred at around 4 in the morning in the town of Foz, Galicia. An emergency helicopter assisted in the rescue, taking two of the victims to land. All four of the occupants were treated in hospital.

Also on Sunday, a cyclist was seriously injured with facial trauma and abdominal pain in a crash on the A7 motorway. An emergency ambulance took the man to hospital once stable.
