The incident occurred during the early hours of Saturday morning at a checkpoint set up on the N-332 as it passes through l’Alfàs del Pi.

The officers stopped the vehicle on account of the driver acting suspiciously and carried out a breath test. The first test reveals a positive result of 1.49 mg / l, and 1.62 mg / l in the second test, six times higher than the permitted maximum.

The man was arrested for crimes against road safety and brought before the courts in Benidorm.
