Two dogs were killed on Sunday when a drunk driver lost control and crashed into other vehicles in the Elche municipality.

The vehicle lost control and collided with another car, shunting that vehicle into others, the end result being six people being injured and two dogs being killed.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of crimes against road safety and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
