How to transport a bicycle on the back of your car?

The bicyle is a useful form of transport for many, healthy, economical, fun, but in some cases bike owners need to carry their bicycle on their car, and although there are many ways of doing this, one of the most popular involves fitting a bike carrying rack to the rear of the car.

These bike carrying racks are very useful, but there are conditions for their use, such as the bike having to be secure, but they must also not prevent vivibility of items such as the vehicle’s rear lights or number plate, and if they do, then repeaters must be provided on the frame.

Your bike is not permitted to be carried in this way if it results in extending beyond certain width guides of the carrying vehicle.

The bicycle can not overhang any side of the car. But in this case we make an exception if it does not overhang a lot.

We have another article regarding the width and overhang of a bike, in this article we are talking about the lights and number plate.

Here you can see 2 options:

1. When the bicycle does not hide the lights of the car, you only need to put the signal V-20. You can use 1 or 2 signals.

2.When the bicycle hides lights and plate you will have to use extra lights and number plate.

In the other photo you can see another examples for taking things. Remember to use signal V-20 to take something on the back of the car.
