Driver Caught at 233 in Benidorm 100 Zone

Officers from the Guardia Civil caught a driver of a vehicle who was clocked travelling at 233 kilometres per hour on a section of road where the limit is 100 near to Benidorm.

According to the Provincial Command, the vehicle was detected at 03:30 at kilometre 147.700 of the N-332 main road in Benidorm at a speed control point.

The vehicle was recorded at a speed of 223 kilometres per hour on a stretch of road where the maximum permitted limit is shown as 100 kilometres per hour, and so proceeded to stop the vehicle immediately.

The driver, a 34 year old Spanish national, was arrested for a crime against road safety and processed before the courts in Benidorm.
