The Guardia Civil in Madrid activated a search protocol on Sunday to try to locate an individual who rammed a patrol car and then absconded after the two officers attempted to stop a vehicle.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon in the Las Rozas area of the capital when the officers tried to stop a car for a routine check. Rather than stopping the vehicle accelerated and attempted to escape.
The vehicle then rammed the patrol car and fled the scene. The officers were naturally shaken by the incident but otherwise uninjured.
The Guardia Civil subsequently launched a region-wide search to find the assailant.
