Man Arrested for 56 Thefts from Vehicles

Officers from both the Guardia Civil and the Local Police have collaborated in order to successfully arrest a thief who had stolen items from at least 56 vehicles since the start of December.

The arrest was made in the Seville town of Utrera, after the investigation led officers to identify the individual who went by the nickname, “ET”.

The detainee has been remanded in custody, pending a trial, as he was considered too dangerous to release on account of him also raiding two residential properties, attacking the owners of one of them, and assaulting a police officer as the assailant tried to escape through a window.

He is accused of two counts of trespassing offences, two of illegal detention, one attack on a law enforcement officer, four threats of violence, two of damages, two of having caused injuries and 56 thefts from vehicles.
