A 16-year old child was killed on Wednesday, struck by a truck on the N-332 road at Santa Pola.
The incident occurred at around 16:30 near to the Rocas Blancas hotel, a notoriously dangerous location of the N-332, when the child was rollerblading along the road.
A truck,. Which was driving along the road, was unable to avoid hitting the child.
The emergency services attended but could do nothing to preserve life.
Traffic was delayed whilst the incident was dealt with.
