We are leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our work, in order to assist us in providing more information in a timely manner.
The majority of content on this website is created and crafted by humans, based on official information, and is verified by officials and sources before publication. However, a very small part of the content is now assisted by or created with AI.
In the interests of transparency and openness, we want to explain exactly how AI is used on this website.
How we Use AI
Articles
All articles relating to Spanish Traffic Law or driving generally are created exclusively by humans. However, we use AI, specifically Gemini from Google, to summarise the articles and provide an excerpt.
Weather Reports
The weather reports are mostly generated by Gemini, using official sources such as Aemet, and summarised in the same way. They are all formatted and checked before publication, and the introduction is written by humans.
Traffic Forecasts
Generally speaking, the majority of traffic forecasts are generated with the assistance of Gemini, using information from sources such as the DGT, and formatted and checked by humans before publication. Like the weather, the introduction is also written by humans.
If any special campaigns are attached to the traffic forecasts, such as a campaign focussing on speed, or alcohol, for example, those elements are entirely crafted by humans.
Gemini is then used to provide a summary excerpt.
Flight Reports
Flight reports are generally created by Gemini, using information provided by the officials at Eurocontrol who manage the passage of aircraft, and selected by our human editor.
Characters
There are a number of characters used in our project, mostly aimed at educational material for young people. Those characters are generally crafted by AI, using tools such as Microsoft Designer, ChatGPT, and Elevenlabs for voices.
Voiced Content
Most of the voiced content is human, with the occasional used of AI generated voices from Elevenlabs, and Microsoft Clipchamp.
Images
The majority of images are photographs for which we hold the rights, unless otherwise stated. Occasionally, there may be AI generated or enhanced images, which will be labelled as such.
Summary Pages
Each week, we create a summary article of posts of that week. That summary is generated thanks to Google AI Studio, and summarised by Gemini.
Humans Rule
Even though we use AI, nothing is published without being checked by a human.
AI Tools we Use
We asked Gemini, whom we frequently refer to as Gemma, to summarise the tools we use, so you have a better understanding of how AI assists us. This is what she said (and yes, because Gemma is so well informed and useful, of course we assume her to be female).
Gemini (Google AI)
I am Gemini, a large language model from Google AI. My purpose is to assist users with information, generate creative text formats, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way. I learn and improve constantly based on the vast amount of text data I’ve been trained on.
Microsoft Designer
Microsoft Designer is an AI-powered graphic design tool integrated within the Microsoft ecosystem. It helps users create professional-looking designs for various purposes, such as social media posts, presentations, and invitations. By understanding user prompts and leveraging AI capabilities, it suggests layouts, images, and styles to simplify the design process for both novice and experienced creators.
Elevenlabs
Elevenlabs is an AI-powered voice synthesis platform that specializes in creating realistic and expressive synthetic voices. Users can generate speech from text in a multitude of languages and accents, clone existing voices, and even create entirely new synthetic voices with specific characteristics. This technology is used for applications like audiobooks, voiceovers, and content creation where natural-sounding speech is desired.
ChatGPT (OpenAI)
ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI. It is designed to engage in conversational interactions with users, answering questions, providing explanations, generating various forms of text, and assisting with creative writing tasks. Trained on a massive dataset of text and code, ChatGPT excels at understanding natural language prompts and producing human-like responses (in the interests of equality, we also hereby disclose that we assume ChatGPT to me male).
Google AI Studio
Google AI Studio is a web-based development environment that allows users to experiment with and build applications powered by Google’s generative AI models, including Gemini. It provides tools and resources for prototyping, testing, and deploying AI features for tasks such as text generation, image creation, and more, offering a user-friendly interface for developers and creators.
Microsoft Clipchamp
Microsoft Clipchamp is a user-friendly video editing software accessible online and as a Windows application. It offers a range of tools for trimming, merging, adding text, music, and effects to video clips. While not solely AI-driven, it incorporates AI features like auto captions and text-to-speech to streamline the video creation process for users of all skill levels.
CapCut (ByteDance)
CapCut is a popular and free video editing application primarily designed for mobile devices, but also available for desktop. It offers a wide array of editing tools, including trimming, splitting, adding effects, filters, music, and text. CapCut incorporates AI-powered features like auto captions, background removal, and body effects to simplify and enhance video editing for social media and other platforms.
Humans
Humans are a species of highly intelligent primates characterised by complex language, abstract thought, bipedal locomotion, and the ability to create and use intricate tools and technologies. They inhabit diverse environments across the globe, forming societies with intricate social structures, cultural traditions, and a capacity for both great creativity and significant impact on their planet. Their defining feature is a conscious awareness and a relentless pursuit of understanding themselves and the universe around them.
Final Notes
Our intention with this page is part of our commitment to transparency and compliance with EU and Spanish AI regulations.
Although many people would never accept it as fact, we do, the fact that humans make mistakes, and so does AI. Although we try not to, we cannot rule out that there might be an occasional error, so if you have any doubts, please check, as all information is provided with good intention, but without status, and so, for example, the forecasts and overviews are of an informational nature, and you must exercise your own judgment.
Updates
We will update this page if, or when, we add more usage of AI into our project, so feel free to keep checking back.
This page was last updated by Mark Nolan on 18 May 2025, adding the list of tools used.
