From January 2026, v-16 emergency lights will replace warning triangles across Spain, marking a major shift in roadside safety. To help drivers understand what the new system involves, we have launched a dedicated information page covering everything you need to know about v-16 emergency lights, how they work, and how to ensure you choose a fully compliant model.
The new page includes direct links to the official DGT guidance, technical standards, and certification lists, helping drivers avoid confusion caused by non-connected and non-authorised devices still being sold online. It also provides clear explanations about connectivity requirements, battery checks, placement, international rules, and the role of DGT 3.0.
This launch also marks the release of our first edition of N332 Signpost, the new monthly pocket snapshot booklet created to give drivers quick, reliable insights on essential topics. The inaugural edition focuses entirely on v-16 emergency lights and can be downloaded directly from the page.
For trusted information and resources on v-16 emergency lights, the new N332 V-16 hub is now available at n332.es/v16.
We will also be adding to it over the next few weeks as we head towards the mandatory deadline.
