With Europe-wide policing becoming more of a priority, forces from across the continent can share information, not only for the purposes of fining foreign drivers in other countries, but also in assisting their colleagues in recovering stolen property.
As part of the Crossing Borders campaign, Greater Manchester Police successfully stopped a vehicle in Rochdale following a pursuit on Wednesday.
The silver Renault Clio had been reported stolen in Spain and has now been recovered.
