EBRO s900 PHEV 4×4 Arrives as the Brand’s New Flagship SUV in Spain

EBRO has expanded its Spanish range with the launch of the s900 PHEV 4×4, a large plug-in hybrid SUV positioned as the new flagship of the brand. It becomes the fourth EBRO model available in Spain, joining the s400, s700, and s800, and is presented as a blend of heritage, modern technology, and electrified mobility.

With a length of 4.81 metres and seating for up to seven occupants in a 2+3+2 layout, the s900 is aimed squarely at families and private buyers looking for space, comfort, and long-distance capability. EBRO positions the model in the premium SUV segment, with an emphasis on efficiency and everyday usability rather than outright performance alone.

At the heart of the s900 is a plug-in hybrid system combining three electric motors with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Total system output reaches 425 horsepower with 580 Nm of torque. The official figures quote up to 140 kilometres of electric-only range and more than 1,000 kilometres of total driving range, allowing the vehicle to carry Spain’s zero-emissions label. The system is designed to prioritise electric driving, switching automatically between electric, series hybrid, parallel hybrid, and combustion modes depending on conditions.

Charging performance is also notable for the segment. The battery, with a capacity of 34.46 kWh, supports direct current charging up to 71 kW, allowing a charge from 30 to 80 per cent in around 25 minutes at a suitable rapid charger. Alternating current charging reaches up to 6.6 kW, making home and workplace charging practical. The vehicle also offers bidirectional charging, enabling it to supply power to external devices.

The s900 is built on the T2X multi-energy platform developed by Chery, engineered to support combustion, hybrid, and electric powertrains. EBRO highlights the use of high-strength steels, a multi-link rear suspension, and a focus on ride comfort, refinement, and interior space. Safety is a central pillar, with ten airbags and 26 driver assistance systems fitted as standard.

In Spain, the EBRO s900 PHEV 4×4 is offered from 38,990 euros, subject to promotional conditions. The model forms part of a wider strategy that has seen EBRO establish production in Barcelona, expand its dealer network nationwide, and consolidate its position in the Spanish SUV market during 2025.
