A man believed to have been in his 70´s was killed on Monday afternoon, when his vehicle was involved in a head on collision between Guardamar del Segura and San Fulgencio.
The incident occurred at around 13:45 when the vehicle driving in the San Fulgencio direction collided with another vehicle heading towards Guardamar on a straight stretch of road near to an industrial estate.
The driver was killed by the impact whereas the occupants of the second vehicle, two people aged in their 60´s and a child of around 11 years of age, survived that crash, their vehicle pushed towards a fence which saved them from falling into a water ditch which runs alongside the road.
