The Local Police have arrested a man on suspicion of drunk driving, after they found him trying to drive his car down the steps of Burgos cathedral.
According to the police they first believed the driver may have been lost, and so went to assist in his route. The driver was surprised to see them and acted in a nervous manner and so the officers suspected that the driver may have consumed alcohol and performed a breathalyser test on the driver.
After testing positive for alcohol the driver was arrested on suspicion of a crime against road safety.
The vehicle was parked in the municipal pound until the matter was resolved.
