Officers from the Guardia Civil in Palencia were left surprised when they found an articulated lorry being driven by a 10 year old child.
The incident occurred on an industrial estate in Paredes de Nava when officers observed the truck “zigzagging” along the road.
Upon requesting that the vehicle stopped, they found the child at the wheel of the truck, accompanied by his 71 year old grandfather, who was in the passenger seat.
Details of the man have been sent to the courts where he is facing charges of crimes against road safety, whereas the child will be dealt with through the office that deals with minor offences.
