Officers from the Guardia Civil attended yet another major crash on the now infamous N-332 main road in the La Mata area of Torrevieja on Monday, just a short distance away from a number of other crashes this year.

A trailer being towed by a vehicle became detached and crossed to the opposing lane, smashing into the front of a car travelling in the Cartagena direction.

As a result of injuries sustained in the crash, one woman had to be taken to hospital. The road was closed for a short time whilst the debris was cleared up.
