The emergency services attended an incident on the A-/ motorway near to Los Alcazares on Wednesday afternoon.
The alarm was raised at the emergency coordination centre at 18:41 reporting the incident on the A-7 in the Alicante direction, near to bridge number RM F-26.
A car had apparently crossed the central reservation and collided with a truck heading in the opposite direction.
The fire and rescue service was dispatched immediately, along with local police who called for assistance from the Guardia Civil.
The two injured parties, a male ages 23 and a female aged 21, were taken to the Los Arcos hospital with numerous injuries.
